Beckett, Benjamin Caleb -

Benjamin C Beckett, 64, died  Wednesday Dec 28, at the Creston hospital. He was a retired fanner. He and his wife moved here from North Dakota in 1920.

 

Survivors: Two sons, Leavitt of Clearfield, Lester of Lenox, 2 daughters, Mrs Wilbur Holland, Mrs Vida Holland of Des Moines also 21 grandchildren.  His wife and one son preceded him in death.

 

Funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Bender funeral home the Rev. H D Butts officiating. Burial in the Lenox cemetery.

Beckett, Benjamin Caleb –

Benjamin Caleb Beckett, son of George and Polly Beckett, was born in Wisconsin Oct 22, 1869 and passed this life at the Creston hospital Dec 28, 1955 at the age of 86 years, 2 months, 6 days.

 

In June of 1913 he was united in matrimony to Miss Maude M

Granger. To this union five children were born: Leavett, Lester, Vida, Ruth and Chester, who died in infancy.

 

Soon after marriage they made their first home on a farm near Blue Grass, N. D. In September of 1920 they returned to Lenox. Mrs Beckett preceded him in death August 9, 1944.

 

As a young man he united with the Latter Day Saints Church but during recent years he made the Methodist church his church home. He was the last of a family of ten children.

 

Surviving are two sons, Leavett of Clearfield; Lester of Lenox;

two daughters, Vida (Mrs. Lawrence Holland) and Ruth (Mrs Wilbur Holland) of Des Moines; 21 grandchildren, and his loyal friends and neighbors.

Blakesley, Harry E. -

Harry E Blakesley, son of Jacob and Margaret Groves Blakesley was born Sept. 27, 1886 at Knowlton, Iowa and entered into rest at the Sunnyslope Sanitarium in Ottumwa, Iowa on Nov. 20, 1955, at the

age of 69 yrs, 1 mo. and 23 days.

 

He followed farming for sometime upon completing his school attendance.

 

On May 10, 1907, he was united in marriage to Miss Gertrude Livingston, daughter of Mr and Mrs Sam Livingston of Clearfield where they established their home. To this union were born 5 children, Gilbert Blakesley, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Clifford (Agnes) Schrodt of Avoca, Miss Dorothy Blakesley of St. Joe, Mo., two sons died in infancy.

 

Mr. Blakesley took great pride in his carpenter work. He loved his family and followed his children in their school work and its activities with watchful eyes. The citizens of Clearfield will miss his friendly attitude and his interest in their lives.  He was an attendant of the Christian church in early life.

 

To cherish his memory are his wife Gertrude, the son and two daughters, also one grandson and five granddaughters, one brother Christie Blakesley of Shenandoah a daughter-in-law Mrs. Gilbert Blakesley of Portland, a son-in-law Clifford Schrodt of Avoca, other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral services were held at J R Crew funeral home, Nov 23.

The Rev. Ronald Graham of the Christian church brought the words of comfort. Singing by Darl Bell and Bob McMath. Burial in the Clearfield cemetery. Pall Bearers were E. Baxter, Darl Bell, Ray Speer, Fred Harshan, Geo. Bailey and R R Bailey.

Bryant, Lewis -

Lewis Bryant, 82, died Thursday at 2 P.M., at the Bedford Rest home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 P.M., at the Bender Funeral home at Lenox with the Rev Cecil Simonton of the Lenox Church of

Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Lenox cemetery.

 

Only distant relatives survive. He had lived in Lenox for the  past 25 years until his recent illness when he was moved to the Bedford Rest Home.

Dahlberg, Eva -

Mrs Eva Dahlberg, 88, died Sunday at 7:30 p. m. at the Lenox Rest Home. Funeral services were Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Methodist church in Kent with Rev Ida Roberts of Creston officiating. Burial in Cromwell cemetery. She lived most of her life in the Kent and Corning vicinities.

 

Survivors: 1 son, Floyd of Lenox; 4 daughters, Mrs Lena Wright, Afton; Mrs Louise Clem of Kent; Mrs Esther Peak, Creston; Mrs Ruth Brown, of California; 13 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren; also 2 half sisters, Miss Winnie Goodwill, Miss Lottie Goodwill, both of Creston. Her husband and 2 sons preceded her in death.

Ellis, Roy H. -

Mrs A H Peacock received word Tuesday evening of the sudden death of her brother Roy H Ellis, Pico, Cal. He and his wife were attending the Rose Parade when he collapsed and died immediately.

He was 63 years old.

 

He was a former resident of Lenox and the son of Dr and Mrs Ellis, both deceased. He leaves his wife, two daughters, and one son all of whom with their families, live in California. Also a brother Wm. Ellis of Lander, Wyo., besides his sister, Mrs. Peacock.

Estel, William -

William Estel, 89 who lived in Lenox most of his life, died at the Foster nursing home at Fall City, Nebr., Monday night. He had lived at Fall City, with a step daughter, Mrs Martha Hofer, until entering the nursing home recently.

 

His body was brought to Lenox Wednesday and funeral services were held at the Bender funeral home at 2 p. in. Thursday, Rev. Harold Butts officiating. Burial was in Lenox cemetery.

 

Mrs Estel died Oct. 14, 1954.  Surviving are his stepdaughter,

Mrs Hofer, at Fall City, and two nephews, Harry Estel of Lenox and Walter Estel of Mason City.

Estel, William -

William Estel, was born January 14, 1866 in Wayne Co Pennsylvania. He died November 28. 1955, in Falls City Nebraska.

 

At the age of nine he came with his family to Ringgold County, Iowa near Clearfield and grew to manhood in that vicinity.

 

In June of 1919 he married Olive Madden who preceded him in death Oct. 17, 1954. For the past thirty years he lived in Falls City, Neb. He made his profession of faith in Christ at services at a school house in the country. He is survived by two nephews Walter Estel, Mason City, Iowa, and Harry Estel, Lenox and a stepdaughter, Mrs

Martha Hofer of Falls City, Neb.

 

Services were at Bender Funeral home, Dec. 1. Rev. H D Butts officiated. Burial was in Lenox Cemetery.

Friend, Mrs. Don -

Mrs Don Friend of Wichita, Kan., only sister of Richard Bunn, passed away Dec 24. The Bunn family left Sunday morning for Wichita, accompanied by Mr and Mrs Roy Bunn of Charles City who arrived here Saturday night.  Mrs Friend had given birth to a son a few hours before her death. She was 31 years old.

Gavett, Harley G. -

Harley G. Gravett son of Ellis and Sarah Gravett was born in Adams County, Iowa, July 29, 1881. He died Friday, Nov. 4 1955 at Rosary Hospital, Corning, at the age of 74 years, 3 months, 5 days.

 

On June 30, 1908, Mr. Gravett married Mollie Marlatt at St. Patrick's Church, in Corning.  He spent his entire married life on a farm near Lenox. A farmer and live stock buyer he was widely known in this community.

 

He is survived by his wife, one sister and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from St. Patrick's church, Lenox, at 9:30 Monday, Nov. 7, 1955, Rev Reisz officiating. Interment

was in Lenox Cemetery.

 

Pall Bearers were Marion Davis Chas. Maloney, Mike Jennings,

Lloyd Leonard, Florence McCay and Lee Pearis.

Graham, Martha Jane Hall -

Martha Jane Graham, daughter of Lewis and Elizabeth Hall was born at McConnellsville, Ohio, April 19, 1862 and attended school at Zanesville, Ohio June 16, I860 she was married to Thomas Graham, and to this union two children were born. They made their home in Muskingum County, Ohio until January, 1883, when they came to Iowa.  Mrs. Graham lived in Lenox and vicinity the rest of her life, except for the winter of nine years, which were spent with her son in Texas.

 

She was a lover of her home and made it the center of her life.  She joined the Presbyterian Church early in life and remained active in it as long as she was able.  Her husband passed away in 1945, and Mrs. Graham remained in her own home for two years, and then lived with her daughter, Mrs. Della Clayton in Lenox for four years and in the Lenox Rest Home for the past three and a half years.

 

For the last seven years of her life she was bedfast, but she remained cheerful and alert until the last. She passed in her sleep on the morning of Oct 25, 1955 at the age of 93 and a half years.

 

She leaves her sister, Mrs Mary Taylor, of Lenox; a sister-in-law, Mrs Nellie Gittings of Los Angeles, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs Delia Clayton of Lenox; and a son, Leland S Graham, of Houston, Texas, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Hinshaw, Grace Verlea Larson -

Grace Verlea, daughter of Lewis and Nora Larson, was born on a farm near Conway, la., Oct. 2, 1917 and died at her home near Clearfield, la. Dec. 15, 1955 at the age of 38 years, 2 months, and 13 days.

 

She .spent her early life in the Conway and Clearfield communities. She attended rural school and the Conway and Clearfield High Schools, graduating from Clearfield in 1935.

 

When just a young girl she became a member of the Methodist

church.

 

On Dec. 15, 1937, she was united in marriage to Ronald Hinshaw. The day of her death was the date of their eighteenth wedding anniversary. They were the parents of three children, Janet, Cecil and Rhonda, all at home.

 

Besides her husband and children she leaves her parents, Mr

and Mrs Lewis Larson of Clearfield; three brothers, James Larson of Clearfield; Thomas Larson of Blockton, and Leroy Larson of Clearfield; and one sister, Mrs Marie Lubkeman of Latimer, Iowa.

Nieces and nephews, many other relatives and hosts of friends survive.

Hudson, Bert L. -

Bert L Hudson, a former Lenox business man and brother of Earl Hudson, passed away in Janesville, Wisc., Nov. 29. He had suffered a severe heart attack and complications more than two years ago.

 

Mr Hudson was 61 years of age. He was well known here, having been employed in the Arcade cafe in the Hudson building for a number of years and later operating the business for himself for two years.

 

He was a member of the Baptist church, of Tremont Masonic Lodge in Lenox and Za Ga Zig Shrine in Des Moines.

 

Besides his wife, Alma, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs June Elkins, 4 grandchildren, three sisters, and two brothers.

 

Burial was in Janesville, Wisc. Thursday afternoon, Dec. 1. His

daughter, Mrs Elkins and children, left Monday, Dec. 5, to join

her husband who is with the Air Force in Japan.

 

Mr and Mrs Earl Hudson of Lenox attended the funeral in

Janesville and returned home Sunday evening.

Hurd, Mary Kay -

Graveside services for Mary Kay Kurd, infant daughter of Mr and Mrs James Hurd, were held at the Gravity cemetery at 3:30 P. M. Friday. The baby, born at the Greater community hospital in Creston Wednesday, died Thursday evening. Donald Gibson of Sharpsburg conducted the services. Burial was in the Gravity cemetery.

 

The baby is survived by her parents, Mr and Mrs James Hurd, a sister Coryl Ann, 3, and her grand parents, Mr and Mrs Raymond Miller of Lenox and Mrs. Mary Hurd of Mountain Grove, Mo.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at J R Crew Funeral home for Jake Lockwood, 72. of Tingley who had moved six weeks ago from Clearfield. Burial was in Tingley.

 

He is survived by his widow Minnie, 2 sons, Eldon of San Diego, Dean of Clearfield and two daughters Venita Hill and Genevieve Jobe of Tingley.

Graveside services for Douglas Dean Matthews, infant son of Mr and Mrs Donald Matthews were held at 2 p. m. Friday, Oct 7 at Oak Hill cemetery, Lake Geneva, Wisc. Rev. Lowell Reykdal of the Methodist church officiated.  The baby died at birth Oct 5 at Lakeland hospital. The mother formerly was Wilma Beck of Lenox.

McIntyre, Ethyl Duey -

Funeral services for Ethyl McIntyre, 49, were held Wednesday

in Creston, with interment in Clearfield cemetery. She is the

daughter of Stephen and Charlotte Duey and lived a number

of years near Clearfield. The mother preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by her husband, Roy, four sons, Floyde of Newton, John of Thayer and Raymond and Stephen of Creston, also two brothers, L J Duey of Grinnell and John Duey of Clearfield.

Mitchell, George Orphious -

Graveside services were Wednesday at 3:30 PM, at the Lenox cemetery for George Mitchell, 83, who died Monday at his home in Ewing, Nebraska.

 

He was a former Lenox resident.  His wife, Mary preceded him in death and is buried in the Lenox cemetery. One sister, Cora, with whom he made his home, survives. He was an uncle of Lloyd Wood of Lenox and a brother-in-law of Mrs Maude Wood.

Mitchell, George Orphious -

Graveside services were held for George Orphious Mitchell at the Lenox Cemetery Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 7, with the Rev. Willard M. Morris officiating. Pall bearers were Ben Walter, Charles Miller. La Verne Bush, W. B, Ambrose, Lloyd Woods and Melvin Casey. Earlier services were held in Ewing. Nebraska.

 

George Orphious Mitchell, son of John S and Mary Morton Mitchell, was born on May 9, 1871, near Monmouth, Illinois, and passed away suddenly at the home of his sister, Mrs Wilma Eppenbauch, at Ewing, Nebraska, Saturday evening, Dec. 3, 1955, at the age of 84 years, six months and 24 days.

 

When he was a small boy, his parents moved to Queen City, Iowa, and later to a farm nine miles east of Corning, Iowa, which was his home until his marriage.

 

On February 9, 1898, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Wood, and they made their home near Lenox.

 

His wife passed away January 18, 1899. Mr Mitchell then went to Nebraska, and in 1908 he took a homestead near Yoder, Wyoming. He returned to his mother's home at Ewing, Nebraska in 1930, and has lived with his sister on the old home place ever since.

 

Mr Mitchell became a member of the United Presbyterian church as a child, and was a faithful member throughout his life. He loved good music and spent much time singing, He gave liberally to charity and

the needy. He was preceded in death by his wife, his father and mother, and his brother, Arthur.  He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Wilma Eppenbauch  of Ewing and many friends.

Moffett, James Edward –

Services were held at the Crew Funeral Home in Clearfield Sunday for James Edward Moffett, Jr., 26, who died Nov 9 at Valdosta, Ga. The Rev Harold Butts of Lenox conducted the service. Burial was in Clearfield cemetery.

OBITUARY

James Edward Moffett, Jr., eldest son of Mrs Lola Manroe and James Moffett, was born Aug 7, 1929 near Clearfield, la., and departed this life at Valdosta Ga., Nov 8, 1955 at the age of 26 years, 3 months 1 day.

 

Junior attended Clearfield schools until in his Sophomore year moving then to Lenox, attending school here for a short time before enlisting in the Army Air Corps in August, 1946.  He served with the Administration Department until receiving his honorable discharge with the rating of T Sgt. in June 1955.

 

On Aug 2, 1949 he was united in marriage to Thelma McDonald

at Post Christian, Miss. To this union were born two sons, Ronald James, 5 and Gary Michael, 3.  Junior was of a very cheerful and helpful disposition, making many friends wherever he went

He united with the Methodist Church in Clearfield in his early youth and was a great source of pleasure to his grandparents, with whom he spent much of his boyhood.

 

Besides his wife, Thelma, and two small sons of Post Christian, Miss., he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lola Manroe of Lenox, his sisters, Darlene Manroe of Kansas City, Mo. and Delores Ambrose of Gravity, Ia.; two brothers Billie of Santa Ana, Calif. and Earl of Omaha, Neb.; his father of Salem, Ore., his grandparents, Mr and Mrs J A Neville of Clearfield, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.

Ranck, Doris Pennebaker -

Doris Ranck, 84, retired farmer died at 1 a.m. Friday at his home after an extended illness.  He was a veteran of World War I. Funeral services were Monday afternoon at the Bender Funeral home with the Rev H D Butts conducting the service. Burial was in the Gravity

cemetery.

 

Mr Ranck had the use the past year of the television set purchased by the American Legion and Auxiliary for the use of disabled members in this vicinity.

OBITUARY

Doris Pennebaker Ranck, son of Phillip and Susan Ranck, was born in Walnut, Pa., on May 4, 1891, and passed away at his home in Lenox, Dec 23, 1955, at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 19 days.

 

He was married to Edna Heaton in December, 1920 at Conway,

Iowa. To this union were born four children, Stanley Ranck, Corning, Audrey Drorbaugh, Glenwood, Phillip Ranck at home and one daughter Helen Louise who died in early infancy.  Also surviving are one grandchild Lowell Ranck, one brother Mason Ranck, of McMinnville, Oregon, one uncle D S Pennebaker of Lenox, many relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were two grandchildren Marvin Lee Drorbaugh and Bobby James Drorbaugh,

two sisters and 3 brothers.

 

When a young man he joined the Methodist church at Sharpsburg. He served with an infantry division in France during World War I and was a member of the American Legion Post of Lenox. He farmed in Taylor county for many years until health would no longer permit, then moved to Lenox in 1945.

Rascher, Anna Reladena

Anna Reladena Rascher, youngest daughter of Charles and Lena Rascher, was born July 7, 1893, in Taylor County, Iowa, and lived there all her life.

 

She passed away at her home on November 21, 1955, at 9:35

AM at the age of 62 years, four months, and 14 days. Her parents,

5 sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

 

Anna was a patient sufferer during her past year of illness.  She appreciated her home and all the many kind things which were done for her.

 

She joined the church at Oak Hill when she was 18 years old.

 

She leaves to mourn her passing; 2 sisters, and 1 brother. Mrs Minnie Welch, Gravity; Mrs Lottie Chitty, Sharpsburg; and Mr Fred Rascher, Nodaway. Also a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Reeve, Otis Dansor -

Word has been received of the death of O D Reeve, Monday,

Dec. 19, in an Omaha hospital. Mr Reeve was 86 years of age. He formerly lived in Lenox but moved to Omaha some fifty years ago. Funeral services were to be in Omaha today, Thursday, with burial

there. Mrs Louie Walter is a niece of the deceased.

Reeve, Otis Dansor -

Mr Otis Dansor Reeve died at Omaha on Monday, December 19, at the age of 86. He would have been 87 on January 16. He was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery December 22.

 

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Laura Elizabeth Reeve, formerly Miss Laura Elizabeth Porter; one daughter, Miss Zetta Elizabeth Meyer of Pontiac, Michigan; three sons Mr Orta V and Merle O Reeve of Omaha,  Nebraska and Glenn L Reeve of Memphis, Tennessee.

 

Mr Otis D Reeve was the last of twelve children of George Reeve who was born in Fleming County, Kentucky. His mother's  maiden name was Eliza Jane Dansor.

 

Otis Reeve lived in Lenox at the time of his marriage, moved to Omaha in 1897 and had lived there since.

Reynolds, Elmo Lorne -

Dr E L Reynolds, 72, retired chiropractor, died in Inglewood, Calif., Friday morning, Dec. 16. He had suffered from diabetes for many years.

 

Funeral services were held in Inglewood Sunday afternoon Dec. 18. His body will be interred in a vault there until spring when

it will be brought to Lenox for burial in Fairview cemetery.

 

The son of Mr and Mrs John Reynolds, the doctor was born in Lenox and grew up here. He is survived by his wife, Edith Jarvis Reynolds whom he married in Wimpleton, N. Dak, in 1903.  Other survivors include a brother, E E Reynolds of Chula Vista, Calif., a sister, Mrs Max (Susie) Evans of Creston, a nephew, Harold Evans of Lenox

an uncle Chauncey Reynolds, asides several cousins in this vicinity.

 

His parents and two sisters, Cora and Mrs Elsie Christy Long

preceded him in death.

Reynolds, Elmo Lorne -

Dr. Elmo Lorne Reynolds, son of John W and Marina D Hurley

Reynolds, was born September 14, 1883, on the Reynolds home stead three miles northeast of Lenox, Iowa.

 

He departed from this life at Inglewood, California, December

16, 1955, being 72 years of age.

 

When a young man he gave himself to God and united with

the Methodist Church in Lenox.

 

On September 23, 1903 he was united in marriage to Miss

Edith Jarvis at Wimbledon North Dakota.

 

In 1907 he began studying his profession as doctor in Chiropractic

and Osteopathy and made that his life work, helping and healing others. He always said he took God as his partner and guide in his work. He spent 30 years in Minneapolis, Minn., in one location.

 

About four years ago he went to California to retire.

 

He leaves his wife Edith, one sister, Susie M. Evans of 501 South Walnut. Creston, one brother E.E.(Liffie) Reynolds of 236 Glover Ave., Chula Vista, California.

 

The father, mother, oldest sister Elsie and youngest sister Cora preceded him in death. Funeral services were Sunday December 18 at Inglewood in the Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Henry Stoody. The body was then placed in a receiving vault and will remain there until

spring, then will be brought to Lenox for burial.

Reynolds, Elmo Lorne -

Relatives have received word that the body of Dr E L Reynolds

will arrive in Creston Saturday morning. It is to be accompanied

by his widow, Mrs Edith Reynolds, and will be brought to the Bender Funeral home.

 

A service will be held at the Funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock .conducted by Rev H D Butts. . Burial will be in the Lenox cemetery.

 

Dr Reynolds, a retired chiropractor died at Inglewood, Cail.,

Dec 16, 1955, at the age of 72 years. His body was placed temporarily in a vault there.

 

Besides the widow, survivors include Mrs F M Evans, Creston,

a sister; E E Reynolds, Chula Vista, Calif., a brother; Harold

Evans of Lenox, a nephew, and Chauncey Reynolds, Lenox, an uncle.

Roth, Clarice Thornton -

Mrs Kate Miller and family received word of the death of Mrs Miller's niece, Mrs Clarice Roth in Eugene, Ore., Nov. 16. She died of bulbar poliomyelitis, at the age of 21.

 

Graveside services for her infant daughter, Clarice Ann, who was born by post mortem section the same day and died Monday, Nov. 21, were held Tuesday afternoon beside the grave of her mother in Willamette Memorial Park, Albany Ore.

 

Mrs Roth was born in Iowa and was only 2 months old when her parents, Mr and Mrs O E Thornton and family moved to Oregon. The home address is now Brownsville, Ore. The deceased graduated from Brownsville high school in 1952 and was married to Darryl

Roth in August of that year.  In addition to the husband and parents, a son, Douglas Wayne, 18 months old survives, also seven brothers and sisters. Friends and relatives filled the Presbyterian church at Albany, Ore. Nov. 21 for the last rites.

Rutledge, John Edward -

John Edward, son of William and Louisa Rutledge was born April 25, 1871 on a farm near Sharpsburg, Iowa and passed away at the Rosary Hospital in Corning, Sunday afternoon December 18, 1955, at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 23 days.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two sisters;

Mary Francis (Aunt Polly) Smith and Alice Rutledge and one brother, Charles, who died in infancy.

 

He was united in marriage to Floy Payne, who is in failing health, and makes her home in Glendale, Calif., to be near her sister.

 

Besides her, he is survived by one sister, Catherine Jones of

Murtaugh, Idaho, two brothers Abe, of Sharpsburg and Thomas,

of Twin Falls, Idaho.

 

He lived most of his life on a farm near Sharpsburg, and when he retired, moved into town where he and his sister, Alice, lived together.

 

At an early age, he united with the Methodist Church of Sharpsburg. He was a member of Right Angle Lodge of Conway, Iowa.

 

Funeral Services were on December 21, at the Shum Funeral home in Bedford by the Rev. Howard Devore, pastor of the Methodist Church of Sharpsburg. Burial was in the Conway cemetery.

Tyler, Earl A. –

Earl A Tyler, 79, of Des Moines died suddenly Friday morning of a heart attack. He was the son of the late Mr and Mrs H H Tyler, and a brother of O D Tyler, Sr. As a child he lived in this vicinity, but moved to Des Moines in 1911.

 

Mr Tyler served for a number of years as president of the First Federal State Bank of Des Moines, retiring in 1949.

 

Survivors include his wife Ethel; a brother, Homer of Watonga,

Okla.; two sisters, Mrs Delphine McCulloch and Mrs Grant McPherrin, both of Des Moines.

 

Mr Tyler was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian

church in Des Moines. The family home is at 1253 Forty-fourth street.

 

Services were held Dunn Funeral Home Moines Monday, Dec. 5,

a.m. Mr and Mrs O D Tyler of Lenox were in Des Moines to attend the funeral and be with the family during their sorrow.
