On April 10, 1926 he was united in marriage to Beulah Mae Herrington and to this union one son, Eldon Paul, was born to bless their home.

Farming near Bedford was his chosen life's occupation. He loved the farm and enjoyed his tractor and cattle. He joined the Farm Bureau in 1935 and took an active part in serving on many committees, holding most offices and was township director for many, many years.

He moved from the farm in the spring of 1971 to their present home in Bedford. But his interest in the farm never ceased as long as his health permitted. He enjoyed guiding and doing with his two grandsons, whether it be farming, carpentry, scouting, 4-H, or sports.

He was a kind, considerate and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always there when he was needed and had a heart as big as they come. Even during his lingering illness, he never said an unkind word. He was always appreciative of what was done for him and of those who came to see him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In Heaven there will be a place for this man. He was the greatest Dad on earth; he was Dad to his daughter-in-law and grandsons.

Interment was held at the Fairview Cemetery in Bedford. Memorials can be given in Cindy's name.

Cynthia Nadine Tribolet was born March 10, 1956, in Maryville, Missouri the daughter of James I. Barcus and Bernadine Beery Barcus. Cindy grew up in the Hopkins, Missouri area, graduating from the Hopkins Community School with the Class of 1974. On June 8, 1974, she was united in marriage to Earl Tribolet at the First Baptist Church in Maryville. The couple moved to a farm just north of Bedford where they have lived for twenty-nine years.

In 1978, Cindy went to work for Western Federal Savings & Loan in Bedford, which later became First Federal of Lincoln. She became the Branch Manager, a position she held until the savings and loan closed its Bedford office. In 1990, she opened Tribolet Financial Services in Bedford. Cindy always gave all she had to her customers, making sure their needs were met.

Cindy was a people person, always putting others ahead of herself. The most important event in Cindy's life occurred on April 9, 1987, when their daughter Lisa came into their family, making Earl and Cindy's life complete. Cindy loved the outdoors, working in her garden, riding her horses and camping. She was a very outgoing person who liked to be where the action was. She loved to travel and fortunately, she and Earl had been able to enjoy many trips together. Many of these trips she had earned through her hard work with her financial service center. Together they enjoyed traveling, all over the United States and abroad. On the times Earl was not able to join her, she enjoyed taking other family members.

In 1972, Cindy was baptized at the Laura Street Baptist Church in Maryville where she was a member. She also attended the Berea Church and later the First Baptist Church in Bedford. She was a member of the Bedford Chamber of Commerce, President of the Bedford Foundation, a member of Young Mothers and the Bedford Saddle Club where she had served as Treasurer. Cindy served three terms on the Bedford Community School Board, serving as Vice-President in 1993-94 and as President in 1994-95 and 1995-96.

On November 10, 2003, Cindy lost her three-year battle with breast cancer. Throughout Cindy's battle with this disease, she was very courageous. Being mostly concerned about her family and others around her, rather than her own needs. She met this disease head-on and never doubted in the Lord's ability to heal her. Often she would say she 'was not afraid of dying, just afraid of the process of getting there.' Cindy was such a loving person and had such a great flair for life that even during her darkest hours she was an encouragement to others.

Left to cherish Cindy's memory are her loving husband Earl and daughter Lisa of Bedford; her father, Jim Barcus and his wife Sue of Hopkins, Missouri; a sister, Debra Barcus-Williams and husband James of Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, Kenny Barcus and wife Marcia of Hopkins, Missouri; a sister, Sherri Richardson and husband Kyle of Platte City, Missouri; a half-sister, Julie Duley and husband Mike of Stanberry; a step-sister, Pam Wilmarth and husband Jim of Bedford; a step-brother, Larry Roberts and wife Darla of Hopkins, Missouri; a step-sister, Stacy Wright and husband Thomas of Smithville, Missouri; a step-father, Robert Everhart and wife Donna of Saint Joseph, Missouri and their family; a mother-in-law, Inez Tribolet of Bedford; a brother-in-law, Everett Tribolet and wife Janet of Bedford; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
