Notice: |
On August 8 & 9, 2003, the Barrans and Van Houten family reunion was held in Lenox. Several of us attended the Methodist Church that ggrandmother Selina Jenks Van Houten had attended. I met a woman there who is active in the Taylor County Historical Society and gave her the Van Houten genealogy as it stood at that moment. She in turn was going to take this document to the Society at her earliest convenience. I plan to update this document in one year, giving relatives a chance to correct errors and add material. I am sending by snail mail a notebook for this document. Just wanted you to know for what purpose I am sending along this notebook. Thank you for all the wonderful work you have done for Taylor County. Virginia Hudson Young, wife of James
Van Young, son of Edith M. Young, daughter of Arthur W. Van Houten, son
of George H. Van Houten

Please know that the document is probably highly flawed, but family members have one year to alert me to errors and to make additions. Best wishes! Ginger Young, 629 NE Lake Pointe Drive, Lee's Summit, MO 64064--1193 |
