My father Donald Edward Franklin was born on October 18, 1906 in Taylor County Iowa. His parents were Harry Clyde Franklin and Jessie Opal Ginn. Jessie Opal Ginn was born 29 June 1887 in Taylor County Iowa. She was the daughter of Charles A. Ginn and Cora E. Barngrover.

Jessie and Harry Franklin had two boys, Donald the oldest and Kenneth who was born in 1911.

According to Jessie’s diary the Franklin family moved around a lot.

“lived on farm near Lenox 1 & ½ miles, lived a Heglier place 1912, moved to Wilcox 1918, moved to Lenox 1916, Greenfield 1916, moved to Denver 1919, Burlington Colordo 1919, Brown House in Denver 1920, near Littleton 1921, lived on Colfax in Denver 1922, Wolf street, 1923, 22309 Cleveland, Denver, 1927.
