Executive Board Meeting

May 28, 2018

A special executive board meeting was called to order on May 28, 2018 by President Lynn McCleary.

It was proposed, on May 16, 2018, by Conni MacDaniel Hall, that Friends get in a position to accept donations from the AmazonSmile Foundation. 

Mark Christian, Friends of IAGenWeb Treasurer, has what is needed to set up such an account. It will entail registration including giving Amazon our bank account information so they can directly deposit donations.  There are no fees of any kind to Friends or those who designate us for donations.  (Amazon donates 0.5% of purchases made through smile.amazon.com where we are designated by the purchaser.)

Funds will be needed in the future to provide new technology platforms and support for IAGenWeb.

All four members of the Executive Committee approved the proposal to set up the account to accept donations from the Amazon Smile Foundation and the meeting was adjourned by President Lynn McCleary on May 29, 2018.
