A notice of the Spring Meeting of Friends of IAGenWeb was emailed to directors and County Coordinators per Articles of Incorporation Article I Section 3. The following was the Agenda:

   A. Secretary’s Report - Presentation of Minutes from the past Jan 2024 Meeting.
The date of the meeting was corrected from January 8 – January 17, 2023 to January 8 – January 17, 2024
The minutes were approved as corrected.

   B. Treasurer’s Report by Mark Christian
Financial Reports as of April 30, 2024 can be found at: http://iagenweb.org/state/friends_of_iagenweb-operations/

Our asset balance (US Bank plus PayPal accounts) as of April 30, 2024 is $20,974.12, an decrease of $56.46 from the starting balance on January 1, 2023, and an increase of $986.58 for the past 12 months. Year-to date income (donations) increased $496.50 over the corresponding period last year, part of that due to a late 2023 donation that did not clear the bank until this year. Year-to-date expenses increased $5.95 from the preceding period.

In the January 2024 meeting the directors authorized up to $600.00 for the annual renewal of the In Motion server from March 25, 2024 to March 25, 2025. $575.51 was spent under this authorization on March 4, 2024.

IRS Form 990-N for 2023 was E-filed and accepted on January 17, 2024.

The Report was approved.

   C. Domain Registration Funding Motion

Motion made by Mark Christian, Treasurer.
The current iagenweb.org domain subscription with Hover ends on June 24, 2024. I recommend the maximum renewal of nine years which costs $143.91 plus an ICANN fee of $1.62 for a total of $145.53. As usual I am padding that amount in the motion below in event of unforeseen changes before actual registration.

I move that $150.00 be authorized for a nine-year renewal of the Hover registration of the domain iagenweb.org.

The motion was second by Lynn McCleary

There were no objections from the Board. Motion carried.

Floor was opened for a period of 24 hours for comments from members and visitors.

5. Close of the Meeting
The motion to Adjourn was made by Lynn-Diemer Mathews, seconded by Kris Meyer.

President Linda Ziemann closed the Board meeting on May 8, 2024 at 2:11 PM.
