Miss Eilers New Chief Operator
Miss Betty Eilers has been appointed Chief Operator for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Hawarden, replacing Mrs. Mildred Bartels, who is going on leave of absence.
Mrs. Bartels has been employed by the telephone company for the past 16 years and has been Chief Operator since 1951.
Mrs. Patricia Kelly will be assistant chief operator filling the position Miss Eilers held the past four years. Mrs. Janice Hamilton and Miss Doris Newman have been made to the positions of service assistants, replacing Mrs. Kelly and Miss Helen Hamersma.
At present, 16 operators are employed at the Northwestern Bell office in Hawarden.
