Oliver Mackey Family

Oliver Mackey was born May 7, 1840 in Londonderry, Ireland to William and Elizabeth Lindsay Mackey and died May 27,1920. He married Mary Love in 1856. She was born ? and died in 1873. He married Helen Mitchell in 1874. She died in 1883. He married Laura Deering February 20,1886 in Postville, Iowa. She was born June 28,1865 and died October 4, 1958. He had nine children.

   1. John Mackey (1st marriage). He died in 1911.

   2. Mabel Helen (2nd marriage) was born September 17, 1875 and died February 7, 1963 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She married George W. Long December 6,1894. He was born December 16,1869 in Kendall County, Illinois and died October 15,1945. They are buried in Odebolt, Iowa Cemetery. They had one child.

         1. Lulu was born June 1896. She married ? Eicherly. They had one child.

          a. Dorothy-married ? Johnson

   3. Edna (2nd marriage) was born in Postville, Iowa. She married Chauncey B. Fox. He was born near Dewitt, Iowa. They were married March 18,1896 in Clinton Township, Sac County, Iowa. She died February 1958.

   4. Alta (2nd marriage) was born in Postville, Iowa. She married Hector Downey or Downie March 3,1898 in Odebolt, Iowa. He was born in Scotland.

   5. Ethel Boline (3rd marriage) was born April 9,1890 in Postville, Iowa and died April 26,1966 in Sac City, Iowa. She married Arch William Quirk on February 20,1912. He was born February 16,1889 and died in 1949. They had two children.

         1. Merle Arch Quirk was born May 1, 1914 in Sac County, Iowa and died December 20,1979 in Sac City, Iowa. He married Ellen Buehler October 30,1934. She was born in 1913. Buried in the Odebolt, Iowa Cemetery. They had three children.

a. Joan Virginia-married Dan Pagel. They have four children.

b.      James Merle-married Victoria Brown. They have three children.

c. Donald William-married Patricia Langle. They had two children.

   6. Leonard (3rd marriage) was born February 1893

   7. Laura G. was born in 1894 and died May 20,1895 at the age of 0-6-17.

   8. Leland (3rd marriage) was born February 1897

   9. Ray. They had at least two daughters;

         1. Carolyn Louise born November 12,1911 and died November 13,1911
         2. Cathryn Lucille born November 12,1911 and died January 3,1915

William and Elizabeth Mackey had six children;
