Eighty-one alumni and guests attended the 102nd Shannon City alumni banquet held Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Eagle's Club in Creston.

Co-chairwomen were Bonnie EREGENBRIGHT BAKER (1959), Linda FOY JAMES (1960) of Creston and Ann COMER SANSON (1959) of Clarinda.

Registration started at 3 p.m. with a 5 p.m. supper.

Linda JAMES gave the welcome and shared a reading before Ron SANSON recognized all the veterans among our group before giving the invocation.

Ann SANSON served as the MC for the evening and thanked everyone for attending and making the evening a success.

Graduates attending were celebrating their 55th, 60th, 70th and 75th banquets. They were:

(1957) Neomi PAXTON DAVIS and Eldon HARDEN (Creston);

(1952) Bob ARNOLD (Shannon City), Earl BERDINE (Bella Vista, AR), Richard HENRY (Fulton, MO), Johnnie LAND (Afton), Dick ROSS (Shannon City), Pauline COMER SPARKS (Vacaville, CA), Elma SHORT STICKEL (Colorado Springs, CO), and Fred WERNER (Osceola);

(1947) Jim BERDINE (Winterset), John and Shirley WEBER HENRY (Creston), and Darlene KELLER WHITE (Shannon City);

(1942) Agnes Marie SWANSON EKLUND (Creston).

BAKER, JAMES and SANSON will be in charge of the 103rd banquet next year. The date will be Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the Eagle's Club, starting with registration at 3 p.m. and supper being served at 5 p.m.
