Maloy's Brian Terrell to give speech and accept award
Maloy resident Brian Terrell will be the featured speaker and awardee at Catholic Peace Ministry's twentieth annual Bishop Maurice
J. Dingman Peace Award Event, which will be held Saturday, April 11, at Holy Trinity Parish in Des Moines. A former mayor of Maloy and co-founder with his
wife Betsy Keenan of the Strangers and Guests Catholic Worker community there, Brian currently is co-coordinator of Voices for Creative Non-Violence (based
in Chicago) and events coordinator for the Nevada Desert Experience. He was director of Catholic Peace Ministry from 1999 to 2008. His life-line committment to
the cause of justice and world peace has taken him to many nations around the globe.Catholic Peace Ministry was founded in 1981. It is an independent
organization advocating for the principles of peace contained in the Christian Gospels and Catholic social teachings. The Peace Award event includes
