Sunderman is new vet at Hilltop Veterinary Clinic

The Hilltop Veterinary Clinic is welcoming their newest associate veterinarian, Dr. Nathan Sunderman, to their practice.

Sunderman graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May. He originates from Villisca, graduating from Villisca High School in 2007. He completed his Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science at Iowa State Unviersity in December of 2010.

Sunderman brings with him his wife, Marissa, who has been assisting in the clinic as well. The couple celebrated their marriage in mid-September. Marissa is orginally from Wheatland, having graduated from Calamus-Wheatland High School in 2008 and went on to obtain an Animal Science degree at Iowa State University. Before returning to her family farm, Marissa worked as the herdsperson and embryo technician for Collison Embryo in Rockwell City for two years.

The couple shares an interest in cattle reproductive technologies such as estrus synchronization,a rtifical insemination, and embryo transfer. Dr. Sunderman is currently seeing small and large animal patients.

The couple resides in rural Redding.
