Senior Life Solutions staff at the Ringgold County Hospital received the "Program of the Year" award from Psychiatric Medical Care Tuesday morning [December 8] in a surpise presentation to the program's staff.

Representatives from Psychiatric Medical Care were in Mount Ayr to present Senior Life Solutions staff with the award.
The company runs programs around the country which help individuals over age 65 who are dealing with emotional or behavioral issues, often related to again. Launched in October 2014, the Ringgold County Hospital program won the top award after only one year.
According to Lynsey Perry, regional director for Psychiatric Medical Care, there were a variety of reasons they were selected. "First of all, they excel at the three Cs: compliance, care, and community. Additionally, they're just a fantastic group of people. They're exceptionally passionate, and just wonderful people who love the work they do. That's why they'ere receiving this award."
Debra Robertson, RN, CMM, is the local director for the program. "Our team is focused on doing all we can to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve and to encourage them to be more independent in their own lives."
"Partnering with Senior Life Solutions allows us to help patients and their families work through some the difficult transistions in life," said Gordon Winkler, Chief Executive Officer at Ringgold County Hospital. "I couldn't be more proud to learn they received this award."
