50th Wedding Anniversary
Max and Sandra MEKUS of Mount Ayr will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, October 8, 2010.
Max and Sandra were married at the Basilica of Saint John Catholic Church in Des Moines, IA. They moved
from Ames, IA in 1969 where Max continues to practice veterinary medicine at the Mount Ayr Veterinary Clinic.
The couple have three children: Lee and wife Charlotte of Lawrence, KS; Joel and wife Melony of West Monroe,
LA; and Andrea and husband Joe BEVINGTON of Corning, IA; and five grandchildren.
