After 30 years, Klejch Insurance to close doors
A long-time Mount Ayr business is closing its doors. Insurance accounts of Klejch Insurance and Real Estate, Inc., located
on the southeast corner of the square, have been sold to Cunning Insurance Company, Inc., of Mount Ayr effective August 1.
Norm and Doris KLEJCH have operated the business for over 30 years. Prior to that, Norm KLEJCH worked for Farm Bureau
Insurance for 20 years. The KLEJCHS said they have no plans to leave Mount Ayr or Ringgold county. Other than that, they
say they're not really sure what retirement will bring. "We plan to keep the office open a little while and explore different
things," said Doris. "We want to keep productive." "We plan on playing around," added Norm with a smile. The
KLEJCHS wanted to thank their customers for their support over the years. ""They've been great," Doris said. "We have
our own family, and we have what we like to think of as our insurance family. You couldn't ask for more loyal people."
Ted H. SMITH, president of Cunning Insurance Company, thanked
the KLEJCHS for their long-time service to their policy holders. "We graciously want to thank Norm and Doris for this
business opportunity," he said. "It is our commitment to continue excellent customer service to the current policy holders
and serve them in their insurance needs." The Cunning Insurance Company is located on the west side of the Mount Ayr
square.
