Mount Ayr has organized a swell six-piece orchestra, one that the town will be proud of. The orchestra, called "The Princess Orchestra," will play at the picture show every Tuesday night, entertainments and other places. The orchestra is composed of E. B. Thompson, cornet; E. W. Brooks, clarinet; Frank Fuller, trombone; Raymond Bretz, drums; Ruth Flynn, piano and Mrs. Harrington, violin.
Elmer Jacoby recently filed on a claim near Gillette, WY, and will move there in the near future.
C. B. Reynolds, son of J. W. Reynolds, of Kellerton, who has been engaged in the stock buying business in St. Joseph for the past 15 years, recently moved to Omaha, NE, where he has taken a lucrative position as buyer for Wilson Brothers of New York.
George H. Rains, who recently sold his bakery and restaurant to Fuller & McClanahan, has accepted a position as traveling salesman for the Bowersock Mills & Power Company of Lawrence, KS, and left Monday to begin work as salesman of Zephyr flour.
CROWN POINT - The Ladies' Aid has elected the following officers: Mrs. Walter Harden, president; Mrs. Wesley Glendenning, vice-president; and Mrs. Guy Spicer, secretary-treasurer. The ladies have organized a Busy Bee Circle and will meet twice a month with their fancywork.
BEACONSFIELD - C. W. Hawk has sold his barbershop to George Cooper, of Ellston.
KELLERTON - Lee Timby, of Mount Ayr, has purchased the Orpheum of Allen & Smith and will run a first-class show.
KNOWLTON - T. A. Sheil expects to have a closing out sale soon. He has accepted a position with Henry Ford with headquarters in Des Moines.
MALOY - A Victrola was given away Saturday at the mercantile store. Robert Matthews held the lucky number.
BIRTHS
Prof. and Mrs. W. H. Fasold are the happy parents of a son, born January 29. The young man will be known as Max Arnold Fasold.
MERRITT - Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Merritt, Janiuary 26, a girl.
