Cloudy skies failed to deter approximately 200 children who sought to win prizes offered during the Easter egg hunt Saturday in Mount Ayr. Sixty-four pounds, or 2,200 eggs, were hidden on the grounds of the Mount Ayr Golf and Country Club by members of th V.F.W. Auxiliary to Post 8881, sponsor of the annual event.
Bill Monaghan, employee of Horne's Rexall, was elected president of the Mount Ayr Community Jaycees at the regular meeting of the service club held Tuesday night.
