Mrs. Roberta BASTOW, of Mount Ayr, won the top women's judging honors at the Duroc Swine Type Conference held last week in Des Moines. Mrs. BASTOW
scored a 321 points out of a possible 350, to win over the 100 women entered in the swine judging contest. Her prize was an electric clock.
Betty Ann WALLACE is one of six University of Iowa students who will receive special Honors degrees during the university's summer commencement to be held
August 4.
Mrs. Oda L. SMITH has tendered her resignation as news correspondent for the Redding community on account of ill health and failing eyesight. In a letter
to the Record-News, Mrs. SMITH said, "I am sorry as I always enjoyed sending you the news."
