A Mount Ayr woman won two blue ribbons in the textile division at the Iowa State Fair. She is Mrs. Roy Bryan, who received firsts on a man's knitted sweater and Barbie Doll knit clothes; she also received fourth prize on a quilt.
Sixty-one candidates for the Raider football team havae been engaged in two-a-day practice sessions under the watchful eye of Joe McNeill and assistants Chet Roed, Ron Scott and Joe Morgan.
Larry Bishop returned Monday evening from St. Louis, MO., where, as a winner of a contest sponsored by the 7-Up Bottling company, he attended a performance by the Beatles and enjoyed a tour of the city.
