The Raiderettes advanced to finals, one game away from state after defeating the Mormon Trail Saints and then advanced to the state tournament after defeating East Union 69-56.
Gary Lynn Mozingo, of Maryville, MO, has been contracted to teach art in the Mount Ayr Community High School with the beginning of the 1966-67 school term.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Prentis and family have agreed to make a home for a foreign exchange student during the 1966-67 school year, announcement of which was made by President Alan Hunter at the
regular Student Council meeting held February 16.
In the first round of competition on Friday, Jim Dillenburg was defeated, 3-1, by Jack Gross, Harlan 165-pounder, and seeded number one in the district [wrestling tournament]. Dillenburg decisioned Terry Bowman, Holstein, 7-0,
and upset Dale Palmer, Corning, 6-3, in wrestleback competition for a true second place and qualification for a state tournament berth.
