Five new faculty will be among the seven new faces for Mount Ayr Community School students when classes for the 1989-90
school year opens Monday. New faculty include: John STANDERFORD, 4-12 vocal music; Heather VICTOR, pre-school special
education; Peggy MILLER, elementary school physical eduation and art; Darrell DODGE, high school English, publications and
Ayrian; and Gary EICHESON, elementary guidance counselor.
Diagonal School students have their first day of classes this coming Monday, Aug. 28. The securing of staff has been
completed except a part-time Englih teacher who is yet to be hired. Diagonal middle school students will be at
Clearfield. When Clearfield School opens the doors for kindergarten through eight grade students on Monday, Aug. 28,
they will be welcoming a new superintendent, four new teachers and students like those in kindergarten who will be
attending for the first time.
Ringgold County 4-H members earned 16 blue ribbons in espressive arts, science and engineering, home economics
and personal development areas at the Iowa State Fiar.
