Appointment of Astor NELSON of Diagonal, as a member of the Farmers Home Administration county committee for Ringgold county has been announced by George S.
BUCK, of Creston, the agency's county supervisor for Madison, Ringgold and Union counties.
Bounties on wolves and cub wolves have been reduced by action of the board of supervisors of Ringgold county. Payments for wolves have been reduced
from $10 to $5 and the bounty for cub wolves lowered from $4 to $2.50. Bounties on foxes will remain at $2.00
Representatives of six south central Iowa counties - Adair, Adams, Madison, Ringgold, Taylor and Union - met Wednesday night of last week in
Creston in the interest of an anti-poverty program for this area. The name selected for the newly established non-profit organization - Matura
Action Corporation - was suggested by the Rev. Father Jacob Weiss, of Corning, a member of the governing board in Adams county.
