The front of a building in the Mount Ayr business district was torn down as the building immediately north of the
Small Corral restaurant was knocked down and hauled away. Owner Don SMALL said the building was in bad shape. "We
found out just how bad it was when we were removing the metal front at the top of the building Monday," SMALL said.
The area will provide a parking lot behind the restaurant, SMALL said.
When Paul ANDROF joined the Ringgold County Hospital Ambulance Service's team of caregives in late November 1995,
he brought a third paramedic on staff. He joined Mike and Tammy BUMAN, a husband and wife team, who have pretty much
been tied to their jobs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Since BUMANS came to the local hospital, there have
been great strides made in the contribution fo the ambulance service to the overall care offered at Ringgold County
Hospital.
A former Mount Ayr resident has been named a partner in Epilog, a firm for which he has worked for approximately
six years. Jay MOORE, a design engineer, is the son of Jack and Vera MOORE of Mount Ayr. He and his wife, Kim,
and sons, Austin and Alex, live in Broomfield, CO. The firm produces the Epilog, a machine which does laser desing
engraving on all kinds of materials such as trophies and plaques. The machine, designed by MOORE, won first prize
for three consecutive years at the National Award and Trophy Show at Las Vegas, NV.
