The Iowa State Highway Commission has announced a new five-year construction program which will bring the opening to traffice of the state's allotted 710-mile Interestate system and add new safety, a convenience and motoring economy to hundreds of miles of primary highways.
Cardiac resuscitations equipment, the purchase of which was authorized by the board of trustees of the Ringgold County hospital, is being installed in the hospital, according to an announcement by David Speer, administrator.
Twenty-four biology students from Northwest Missouri State college at Maryville got a first-hand look at operations at the Hutchinson Seed and Fur house Friday. The students were taken through the plant and shown all steps in the operations, from receiving wild animals from the trappers to shipping out bales of the dried skins to the east.
Now in operation in the former West End Skelly station in Mount Ayr is the Kiddy Karousel company. Harvey Nieman is the only employee at the present time and keeps plenty busy assembling units.
