A fiberglass boat factory, which during the past few weeks has been in the process of moving its equipment and awaiting
the shipment of raw materials, is in production at Tingley. The new factory, which operates under the name of Skyline
Plastics, Inc., was recently moved from New Market to what is known as the Bosworth building, owned by Wayne A.
OVERHOLTZER and Carl G. RIGGS. Warren C. "Jack" ADAMS is president and general manager of the new factory, which
manufactures fiberglass boats in four models, fiberglass burial vaults, plastic signs, therapeutic plastic tubs
and other plastic products. Seven persons are presently employed, including the foreman, Virgil VANESS, who
continued in the employ of the factory when it was re-located.
Bob WHEELER, well known to Ringgold county residents through his years of association with the United Food Market
organization, was recently employed in the sales department. Mr. ADAMS said he expects to employ from 20 to 25
persons when the factory is in full production. The Tingley location is temporary, according to Mr. ADAMS, who
said a new building will be constructed in Mount Ayr, probably on a site near Highway Nos. 2 and 169.
The Rev. Floyd EVERHART and family of Stephenson, MI arrived Tuesday of last week in Diagonal, where he will
serve as minister of the Church of the Nazarene. He will also have charge of the Maloy church.
