Two men wanted in connection with a series of recent break-ins in the Vinton area were arrested early Tuesday morning near Kellerton after a police chase during which several shots were fired. They are Charles R.Fraley, 19, and
David L. Phelps, 22.
Marion E. Euritt, postmaster of Mount Ayr, has been appointed to the seminar counseling committee for the thirty-first annual convention of the Iowa Chapter of the National Association of Postmasters to be held in Cedar Rapids.
William J. Hutchinson has been advised by the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, that he has been awarded a Helen Lee Doherty Lassen Fellowship of $2,500 for the 1966-67 sessions, upon the recommendation of the Woodrow
Wilson Department of Government and Foreign Affairs.
Kathy Burright, junior, has been nominated by the English staff of the Mount Ayr Community High School for the annual Achievement Awards Program, sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English.
