The new Ringgold County Supportive Services building is taking shape on South Henderson Street north of the county
garage. Framing has been completed and the roof is being placed on the facility, which will provide programs for
handicapped adults. The countyis developing its own progarm afer years when the clients were served by the
Innovative Industries program from Creston.
A South Central Iowa Community Foundation grant for $3,000 was received this week for the Raider Reader Program.
The grant comes from the Margaret RICKER endowment, which will permanently fund the Raider reader and Maroon Reading
incentive programs in the Mount Ayr Community and Diagonal Community elementary schools.
Pen of three winners were named for market animals in the sheep and swine shows at the Ringgold County Fair.
Tanner ENGLAND showed the championship lamb trio. Eric RICHARDSON showed the grand champion pen of three in the
swine show. RICHARDSON also had the carcass grand champion.
