Bob SICKELS was elected as Mount Ayr fire chief as the May meeting of Mount Ayr Volunteer Firemen. Assistant will be Rod
STARK; and Tom GOLLIDAY continues as secretary-treasurer. Max ANDERSON, who had served eight years as fire chief and
two years as assistant, had resigned in March. The resignation was acted upon in May and a new chief was elected.
ANDERSON continues as a fireman. He has been with the group 23 years.
Tom STULL, son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy STULL of Mount Ayr, was recently named president and director of Brush Industrial
Bank in Brush, CO.
David A. GOFF, a native of Mount Ayr, has joined Ethyl Corporation as an analytical chemist in the R&D Services section
of the research and devleopment department.
Mrs. Ruth MOFFATT ANGUS, a "special" teacher in the Mount Ayr system, is retiring this year after seventeen years
in the education field.
