Wilma JONES, English instructor in the local high school for the past 14 years, recently tendered her resignation to the
board of education and was granted a release from her contract for the coming year. Miss JONES will accept a position as
English teacher in the Des Moines public school system.
Thomas GARTIN, senior medical student at the State University of Iowa, Iowa City, this week assumed his duties of X-ray
technician at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, in which capacity he will serve until October 1. William T.
JOHNSTONE, hopsital administrator, announces that Mr. GARTIN will temporarily fill the vacancy caused by the resignation
June 1 of Mrs. Dwaine MORGAN, who served as X-ray technician in the local hospital for several years.
Allan M. HURST, Jr., of Kansas City, MO, has been employed by the board of education of the Mount Ayr Community school
district as a music teacher for the 1960-61 school year.
