Co-chairmen Bill RUSK and Clyde SUMEMRS have started making plans for this year's Ayr Days parade. It is to be held
on Saturday, September 9,1989, at 1:15 p.m. The theme chosen for this year's parade is "It's Heritage Time at
Ayr Days '89". There will be categories including horses, wagons, and rider; individual businesses; cars; organizations,
and churches.
Mount Ayr Community Raiders dropped its final three games of the regular season, although they could have ended on
an up note. The Raiders headed into district action with an overall record of 5-15, 2-8 in the Pride of Iowa
Conference.
At the conclusion of last week's junior high music camp at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryvill, MO, David
LAWHEAD of Mount Ayr, was named a trumpet Honor Camper for the Green Band. LAWHEAD was one of 31 vocal and instrumental
students honored.
