Francis WILLIS was elected school board president and Gary PETERSOHN was named vice-president when the school
board reorganized following the school election.
Mount Ayr was to be Iowa's "Capital for a day" as governor Terry Branstad and eight state department heads came to
spend the day October 13. Their visit was coordinated by Jack ELLIOTT of Mount Ayr.
Alan FORCE of Mount Ayr was honored as the Mount Ayr division of Innovative Industries "employee of the year" during
an annual business meeting held in the Harvest Room of Farmers Coop.
