Three Ringgold county farmers received state-wide recognition last week in Des Moines. Honorees are Jack Elliott, of Benton, who received the Master Swine Producers award and Bob Lesan of Benton, and Kenneth Driftmeier, of Beaconsfield, each of whom has been presented the Master Lamb Producers Award.
Three directors were named to three-year terms at the annual meeting of the Ringgold County Development corporation Monday night in the county court house. Re-elected are Bill Harover and Mrs. Mabel Rice; new member of the group will be Bob Fisher, replacing Bill Monaghan who decided against seeking the nomination.
Eldon Main was named president of the Mount Ayr Businessmen's club January 5 at a meeting at the Shamrock cafe.
Ora Fugate, of Kellerton, was elected chairman of the Ringgold County Hospital board of trustees during a reorganization meeting held Tuesday night in the hospital.
