A tractor pulling contest held Saturday night as the closing event of the Ringgold County Fair attracted 51 entries.

Perfect summer weather prevailed for the annual Old Timers Reunion, and event of Tuesday of last week, where approximately 280 persons, 110 more than last year, were registered during the afternoon.

Rev. Clifford GERARD, who served as pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Mount Ayr for nearly 11 years, has accepted a call to the church in Renault, IL.
