In the true style of a champion, Tingley again won the girls' section tournament at Kellerton Saturday night by downing the
Ellston sextet, 83 to 68. Jenesse OVERHOLTZER copped the scoring honors for Tingley with 36 points, while Linda RICHARDS
tallied 34. The honor of winning the consolation gave went to the Leon girls with their win over Benton, 67 to 62. Scoring honors
for the evening went to Virginia BLUNCK of Benton who demonstrated her basket shooting ability by accounting for 46 points.
Redding - Two scholarships have been awarded, it was announced by the dean of the Creston Junior College, one to
Mildred CLAYTON of Orient and one to Lyle QUICK of Redding. He is a freshman and enrolled in liberal arts.
Beaconsfield - Mr. and Mrs. Ray STANLEY, Paul WION and Duane POORE accompanied the 4-H boys and girls last week on a
trip to Kansas City. They visited the stockyards, zoo and other points of interest. Those who made the trip were Rex, Beth,
Lyle and Dale WALTERS, Roger STANLEY, Billie LANTZ, Raymond WHITSON, Gary WION, Gary LYNCH and Beth and Bob BRYANT.
