Running errands and delivering messages will be two of the duties of Dennis JOHNSON starting March 15. He was named as a page to work in the Iowa House
of Representatives with its staff until the legislature session ends around May 20. JOHNSON was one of 38 people selected for the 1983 session. Half of them
serve the first part of the session and JOHNSON'S half will fill in for the second part. To become a page, he had to send in a resume, get a school
recommendation, be interviewed and get a recommendation from a state representative. A junior at Mount Ayr Community school, JOHNSON is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Duane JOHNSON of Kellerton. JOHNSON is the first page that Mount Ayr Community has had in a number of years, according to school officials.
Due to reasons of health, J. N. CHICKEN has decided to resign as Ringgold county magistrate.
