David NEAS, a senior in the Mount Ayr Community High School, has been named by Paul F. JOHNSTON, state superintendent of public instruction, as one of two high school students to represent the state of Iowa in the 1966 Senate Youth Program sponsored by the William Randolph Hearst Foundation.
Doyle ADAMS, of Solon, formerly of Mount Ayr, recently completed a home training course specializing in communications and received a diploma on September 9.
The Mount Ayr Raiderettes picked up two vital wins last weekend making them 5-0 for the season. On Friday night, the Raiderettes traveled to Lamoni where they took a 78-43 victory over the Demonettes.
The kindergarten through the first four grades of the Mount Ayr elementary presented a musical playlet in seven scenes, "The Lost Christmas Spirit," December 8, in the gymnasium at 7:30 p.m.
Mount Ayr Community High School welcomes six new student eachers, all of whom attend Graceland College.
CALEDONIA - The Sunday school attendance was 33.
ELLSTON - Our church school attendance for December 5 was 61; collection was $11.24.
