Several community members attended a retirement reception for Louise STAMPER Tuesday afternoon at Clearview
Home in Mount Ayr. Louise has been the director of nursing since Clearview opened on February 5, 1963. After 37
years of service and dedication, she plans to spend extra time with family and friends.
The ribbon cutting at Blue Moon, located at 115 N. Taylor Street, was held by the Mount Ayr Chamber of
Commerce to celebrate the opening of the new restaurant business in Mount Ayr.
At least two Ringgold County college athletes will be taking part in fall sports this year. Brad ELLIOTT of Mount
Ayr, student at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO, will be taking part in cross country at
the university this fall. Cara SMITH of Mount Ayr, a student at Graceland University in Lamoni, is a middle
hitter for the varisty volleyball squad this year.
