E.M. Watson, 54-year-old president of the First State Bank of Diagonal, and well-known businessman, announces his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the state representative of the Ringgold-Taylor district in the primary election.

Farmers in this area interested in entering the Iowa Master Corn Growers conests have just over three weeks in which to do it.
