During a ceremony held Friday afternoon, eleven seniors and eleven juniors of the Mount Ayr Community High School were received into membership of Parnassus, local chapter of the National Honor Society.

The Raider golf team placed second, with Collus LAWHEAD leading the local foursome with a 39 card.

The Mount Ayr Raider trck team placed fifth at the Graceland Relays in Lamoni. The meet was won by Red Oak.

Seventy-four children were enrolled into Kindergarten in three centers - 10 at Ellston; 17 at Maloy and 27 in Mount Ayr.
