The P.M. Place Store Company has leased the Timby store building on the northeast corner of the square in Mount Ayr.
Following a remodeling program, the business operation will be expanded to occupy the double store building.
Place stores are operated in eight towns in southern Iowa and northern Missouri. The Mount Ayr store was
established seven years ago, and Joe PLACE is the manager.
Congressman Karl M. LeCOMPTE has recommended the appointment of Lyle A. SPENCER as permanent postmaster at Kellerton.
Commencement week activities mark the close of high school careers for 126 seniors -- 58 girls and 68 boys -- in
the eight high schools of Ringgold county. Graduates include:
