Kasey Dredge, Mount Ayr Record-News

Grant L. HAYES was re-elected secretary of the Independent School District of Mount Ayr at a meeting of the board held on Monday. Emlin SMITH has been re-elected custodian of the schoolhouse and Earnest RICHARDS as assistant.

"Loch Ayr" is the name selected by the judges of Mount Ayr's new 100-acre lake. The name was submitted by J. A. BLISS, former Farm Bureau agent of Ringgold county, who is the winner of the $5 prize offered by the Mount Ayr Record-News, sponsor of the contest. The total of entries numbered approximately 160. Judges were Mrs. Doyle ANDREW, Chas. L. HORNE, Mrs. C. M. CAMP, J. B. CURRIE and Roy CALDWELL.

The old Ringgold Church south of Mount Ayr is being torn down by Rev. Herman HOCKMUTH and his crew of workmen and is being moved to Redding, where an Assembly of God tabernacle will be erected in the near future.
