Young and old alike had an opportunity to watch a rite of spring as sheep were sheared for them in Mount Ayr last
Wednesday. John COOK of Diagonal brought the sheep and a portable pen to the west side of the Clearview Nursing Home
in Mount Ayr and residents of the homeas well as the handicapped, pre-school and kindergarten students from
Mount Ayr Community schools watched as the sheep shed their winter coats. Eric HILL of Arispe did the shearing
as the spectators looked on.
"Whose Life Is It Anyway?" is the spring dramatic production to be presented this week at Mount Ayr Community high school.
