Annual graduation exercises for Grand Valley Community school will be held Tuesday, May 9, at the Kellerton gymnasium.

L. HOPKINS, Tamera Lynn INGRAM, Marty R. LESAN, Tim Alan MINNICK, Rebecca R. PARKHURST, Diana Kay PETERSON, Richard
Kelly SCHWALBE, Alan E. SHIELDS, Jerry Ray SHIELDS, Jacki Kolene STARK, Daniel L. VanLAAR, Theresa Lynn WALLER, Steven
L. WALTERS, Aaron L. wILKEY and Brenda Lee WOODARD.
Presenting the address will be Rev. Merlin J. WILKINS of Tingley.
The J & L Implement, owned and operated by Jim JOBE of Tingley, was purchased by Dick BUSHMAN of Jefferson with the
transfer of ownership taking place Monday.
Rich SICKELS, son of Bob and Kay SICKELS, was named the outstanding senior member of the Mount Ayr Community high
school Raider band and received the coveted Arion award last Tuesday evening.
Lynn Arden POTTER, age 30, pastor of the Linden United Methodist church in Waterloo the past five years, has been
appointed new senior pastor of the Mount Ayr Larger Parish Methodist Church.
Winners in the Old Fashioned Sunday contest held on April 30 at the Assembly of God church in Kellerton were
Mrs. Mae WHEELER and Mrs. Recie WICKER.
The Mount Ayr Women's Organization entertained the Mount Ayr Community high school senior girls, their mothers and
guests at their annual tea which was held at the Mount Ayr Christian Church April 24. Rev. Clarejean HAURY, pastor
of the Presbyterian churches at Tingley and Mount Ayr, was the main speaker.
