Open house at the Mount Ayr Manufacturing Company plant held Wednesday of last week attracted 454 people. Employees of the plant demonstrated the various operation of men's and boy's caps for the pleasure of the visitors.
James Clary of Oklahoma City, OK, assumed duties as manager of the C.R. Anthony store in Mount Ayr, replacing Jim Olsen, who moved to the Anthony store in Atlantic.
John Irving, of Mount Ayr, was re-elected president of the Southwestern Federation Power Cooperative during a meeting of the board of directors held Wednesday of last week in Creston.
During a regular meeting of the FTA held April 25, Bill Saville was elected president.
Mount Ayr High School won the industrial arts category of the state auto troubleshooting contest in Des Moines. The two-man team of Kenny Schafer and Fred Hainline, found and fixed 12 malfunctions hidden in an automobile engine in one hour and 10 seconds.
