Country music star Sara Evans is makeing a big splash in the music world and has been seen by the country on the television show "Dancing With The Stars" as well. Brent Wilson, lead guitarist for country superstar, Sara Evans grew up in a very musical family. Brent’s father was a farmer, but also played guitar on weekends. He asked Brent to join his band at age 11. Brent, his father, brother, and 2 cousins played all over the Midwest during that time. Brent started to really hone his guitar skills. He began learning material from the Beatles, Ted Nugent, The Who and other rock greats from his brother. He was also getting schooled daily by his dad on popular country material by artist like Don Rich, Luther Perkins, and many others. Brent stayed engrossed in music, and also played in the Jazz band during high school and college. After a couple years of college, Brent decided it was time to hit the road. He traveled the U.S. in various types of bands, playing a variety of styles of music, in every kind of venue you can imagine. Eventually, he would find his way to Nashville in 2000 and score a gig with RCA recording artist, Andy Griggs. Griggs had some number one records, and a gold album. Brent played with him for 5 years, then joined Sara Evans in 2006. Sara is a multi-platinum selling artist with a long resume, full of accomplishments. Brent has performed on the Grand Ol Opry, GAC Opry live, The CMA Awards, The View, Good Morning America, and on a number of CMT Specials such as “Crossroads with Maroon Five” and “Summer fest”. Brent is also no stranger to the studio. He also has his own home studio and often works creating demos for songwriters. ~ eminence.com/artists/brent-wilson
