Last Sunday morning in a large congregation, the First Baptist church voted unanimously as in favor of baseball, but was opposed to Sunday baseball.
Students of the Mount Ayr high school, with the assistance of Superintendent W. H. Fasold, will publish next month a souvenier booklet devoted to the interests of teh school. The book will contain 32 pages and will be divided into three divisions - a department devoted to the schools; a department showing the general progress of the town; and the advertising department.
I. C. Hightshoe, of Riley township, reports that he has 200 acres of oats sown and would sow 65 acres more. He has six teams working in the field. He expects to plant 245 acres of corn.
The Rinngold county high school declamatory contest will be held April 13, in Mount Ayr. Entries are Ethelyn Dickens, Juanita Hoff, May Peppmeier, Treva Rich, Ruth Caster, Esther Wallace, Halceyon Beggs, and Bernice Hannelly.
MALOY - Sam Bullock, of Allendale, MO., was in town Saturday and while here rented the blacksmith shop. He will start work soon.

NORTH WASHINGTON - Born, March 26, to Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Zarr, a son.
DIAGONAL - A sweet little lassie came Saturday to take up her abode at the Carson Williams home. Weight, eight pounds.
