Degrees and certificates were awarded 1,138 students in the 94th annual commencement exercises held Saturday morning in the Armory at Iowa State University in Ames. Included among the graduates are six of this area and one former resident of Mount Ayr.

Over 100 youth competed in Junior Champ Olympics.

A mental Health Association is of great value to any community, not only for its services, but also as a local volunteer program. A meeting for the purpose of organizing an association will be held June 11, at 8 p.m. in the court house assembly room in Mount Ayr.
