Trish CARSON, daughter of Frank and Sue CARSON of Diagonal, and Ryan LINDBLOM, son of Kevin and Cathy KILGORE of
Diagonal, were named king and queen of the Diagonal high school homecoming activities Saturday evening.
Four Mount Ayr Community high school students will be participating in the state large group speech contest in Council
Bluffs Saturday. The reader's theater presentation of "The Inner Circle" with Elisa JONES, Tiffany YOUNG, Darin DOLECHECK
and Aaron COMER will be taking part in the contest at Council Bluff's Thomas Jeferson high school. The large group entry
advanced to state contest from the district contest held in Mount Ayr after the group received a division I rating. J.
Michael KELLAR is speech and drama coach.
