Postmaster James BEARD has received notice from the postal department of an order to discontinue the star mail
route between Mount Ayr and Benton, effective September 15. T. L. TULLIS has been the carrier on this route for
several years and the service has been entirely satisfactory to the patrons of the route.
Mrs. Nellie FENDER has been appointed postmistress at Tingley to succeed H. W. EDWARDS, who has had charge of
the office for several years.
REDDING -- The following teachers will have charge of the various schools in Clinton township: Orchard Hill,
Bessie BRYAN; Miller School, Lela STEPHENS; Prairie Gem, Inez PARKER; Fairview, Bessie ULLERY; Brush College,
Anna COBB and Baird School, Edna MEKEMSON.
Mrs. R. J. MARSHALL is moving her millinery store to Davis City.
