PFC DONALD A. SHRIMPTON
PFC Donald A. SHRIMPTON was born in Diagonal, Ringgold County, Iowa, on September 14, 1921. He was a bulldozer operator
with the Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army during World War II, builing bridges ahead of the troops. PFC SHRIMPTON died on January
10, 1945 from wounds he received when his troop ship was torpedoes upon returning to Manila. He was interred at Graceland
Cemetery, Creston, Union County, Iowa.
