COMMANDER GERALD "JERRY" SHEIL
Gerald "Jerry" SHEIL attended U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School at Newport, Rhode Island, graduating after four months as a general line
ensign. He continued his naval schooling until December of 1955. Jerry spent time on a destroyer before he was home
ported out of San Diego, California, then released into inactive duty as a Lieutenant. Jerry held the rank of
commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
